Put the “Art” Back in “Arthritis” with CBD!
Emma Knox
To start out, let us mention Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Renoir, a beloved painter during the Impressionist movement, was an artist from his early youth until the day he died… despite his last 25 years of crippling arthritis. In his last nine years, Renoir was unable, even, to walk, but found a way to continue to paint. To imagine the debilitating pain he endured to remain with his art is to imagine agony. But now, over a century later, one doesn’t need to endure such agony to pursue their passion. Arthritis can be managed, helped, assisted; and with it, your loves.
Infamous for its hideous pain, Arthritis has a list of “treatments” longer than an obelisk. There are medications, therapies, herbal remedies, diets, lifestyle treatments, etc recommended to people afflicted… But how many of them actually work? Likely not many, since medications are personal and busting with nasty side effects, and the rest are flaky tips and tricks from faux doctors. So here’s another recommendation to add to the list, this one supported by doctors, nurses, and users around the world… and one-size-fits all, free from paralyzing side effects: CBD. Above all else, CBD is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties–another name for Arthritis is “joint inflammation”–and its ability to aid in pain relief. It has a very simple application and doesn’t require much work or movement- you can either chew a gummy, place some oil under your tongue, or rub a topical on the affected area (or use a CBD bath bomb, etc) and you’re set. Once you’ve taken cannabidiol, your only task is to wait for the relief to soak in. My grandmother, a lifelong sewer and quilter, swears by it.
But as anyone with Arthritis knows, there’s more to it than just pain. There’s the anxiety and stress that accompanies the condition, the frustration and anger, and the struggle to sleep. With every task comes potential hurdles and difficulties, so every task becomes something to worry over. With every indignant submission to pain comes resentment of the condition, oneself, and most of all, one’s body… which they feel is betraying them. And with every night comes tossing and turning, since all the aforementioned struggles–pain, stress, and anger–make sleep harder than ever. All of these problems, too, can be helped by CBD. Along with being an anti-inflammatory, CBD is also a natural aid in anxiety relief, relaxation, and sleep.
Artists, musicians, engineers, and people whose passions involves a lot of movement or use of physicality (which is most passions) are especially prone to Arthritis and joint pain… but these people, the ones who love what they do and can’t imagine life without it, are also the ones who are most desperate to keep their joints in tip-top condition. Unfortunately, there isn’t much magic that can prevent the disease… but there are options to help live–not just “survive” or “endure,” but live–better and more easily with it. Arthritis isn’t a death warrant for your art, nor is it a death warrant for your music or woodworking or fashion, but it’s an alert to your body saying: get me help! CBD is that help. We want you to continue your passion, like Pierre-Auguste Renoir; but unlike Renoir, we don’t want you to be battered and bloody by the end. With CBD, you can keep pursuing that joy without giving up your comfort and ease. And NobleCanni’s goal is to help sustain that ease.
Arthritis isn’t the end of your calling. It’s the beginning. Try CBD and let yourself keep painting.
